Jean-Sébastien Dufresne, President
An MBA candidate experienced in business development with overseas partners, Jean-Sébastien joined the Agency in 2009 as Luc Jutras’ assistant. He is now the sole owner and head of the Agency. He designed the new promotion platform eMediaRights.net To learn more about Jean-Sébastien
Claude Choquette, Founder & Senior Advisor
Claude founded the Agency in 1981, after a journey that allowed him to explore different areas of the publishing business. He was, among other things, a printer, texts book publisher and General Director of the Montreal International Book Fair. Claude currently serves as the Agency’s Senior Advisor. Luc left the Association for the Export of Canadian Books in 1998 to become Claude Choquette’s partner. He subsequently became the owner of the Agency and has made a solid contribution to its international positioning. He is now Senior Advisor. To learn more about Luc
Gautier Langevin, Acquiring Publishers Relations
Gautier is a former assistant publisher at Chenelière Éducation, a Montreal based educational publisher member of the Transcontinental group. He also worked five years as a bookseller and is president of two non-profit organizations that promote Quebec French comic books. At the Agency, he handles the relations with Canadian acquiring publishers.
Anabelle Assaf, Acquiring Publishers Relations
Anabelle completed studies in literature and communications at Freie Universität in Berlin before studying French literature at Université de Montréal. She previously worked as a translations proof reader and promotional agent in Berlin. After having represented our agency at the Frankfurt International Book Fair and visited our clients in Paris, she is now handling relations with French acquiring publishers.
Adrian Tusa, Accounts Management
Adrian is a former director at NOI Distribution, the biggest distributor in Romania for books in foreign languages. He is a regular at the many international European book Fairs. He also created a biannual Discount Book Fair in Bucharest. He manages the Agency’s accounts and processes the sales reports.
Amaiur Fernandez, Foreign & Subsidiary Rights Coordinator
Amaiur gained her experience in the publishing industry in Spain, where she contributed to publishing projects with Planeta and promoted foreign publishers’ catalogues for MB Agencia Literaria in Barcelona. She is currently in charge of managing the relations with our corresponding agents and acquiring publishers around the world.
